Chocolate Baroque Christmas Bauble

Hello everyone !   I thought I would post this card today as well.   My previous post was for the In The Pink Challenge.

I was excited to receive my order from Chocolate Baroque with their beautiful new Christmas set -   Pears & Baubles.  Such a gorgeous set that includes a fabulous background design.  I ordered it as soon as it was released and couldn't believe it when it arrived in just FOUR days from the UK !   This is not the first time I've ordered from them :) :) :) and they are always fast, but this was very impressive.

I used 3 stamps from the set to create this card.   It's a little difficult to capture the colours & embossing in the photo.

I started with the stars & mistletoe background stamp and embossed with gold in two areas.   I used  Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress with the Acrylic Block technique to create the background.  Different colours for Christmas but I love them.

Acrylic Block Technique:    Simply add Distress Inks directly to an Acrylic Block (used for cling stamps), spray with water and then 'smoosh' around your page until you like the results.

I embossed the mistletoe and the star bauble twice with gold.  I blended the same two Distress Inks again  to add colour to the bauble, mistletoe and white sheer ribbon.   I cut the centre star from one bauble to pop up in the middle as show below.  I cut the mistletoe out and adhered all to the background.   I also used a white gel pen to add a little highlight here & there.

This photo below is clearer:

Thanks for your visit and kind comments, they are always appreciated.
Have a great day,
Shirley

WOW this is stunning Shirley, I love the background stamp, and the gorgeous bauble stamp. So far I've not ordered it (I ordered some of the new clear stamps) but I'm sure I will soon. The background you've created is gorgeous too, very similer in technique to what I do, but I put my ink onto a craft mat rather than an acrylic block.

Everything is quite on the London front at the moment, so taking my Mum away next week for a few days. Just have to hope the good old British weather holds up and keeps fine for us.

Great work Shirley.
Love the different colours, as you call them.
Mostly I love everything that is created out of the box.
Normal is so boring sometimes.
