Bicycle Themed Wedding Card

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well and enjoyed the Easter weekend.   It was a beautiful day here yesterday, sunny and warm enough to sit out on the back deck.  Today it's raining and so I will play in my craft room for a change.

I have a different card to show today.   A couple that we bicycle with recently married and we thought it would be fun to give them a cycle theme wedding card.   We were heading to a bike show the day we gave it to them with a wedding gift so it was well received :)

I realize that this is not my usual vibrant colour scheme and I did not create the background.  I used paper from a Heartfelt Creations collection that I've stashed away to use for a travel album.  I cut out a piece that had a vintage bicycle image.  I stamped congratulations and created flowers and flourishes using die cuts.  I coloured the flowers with Distress ink to co-ordinate with the paper.  I added Wink of Stella and the hearts to the wheel centres.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Guest Design for Crealies

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I would like to thank all of you that follow my blog and for your encouragement in leaving kind comments.   I'm sorry that I have not been in blog land as much as I had been, but life is busier these days :)

I was happy to create this card & tag for Crealies as a Guest Designer again.   Their products are quite beautiful my collection is growing :)

The background was created using Picked Raspberry Distress Spray along with Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions spray ink.  I spritzed with water to let it blend and blotted with paper towel.   I sprinkled a little Turquoise and Purple Brusho ink powders and spritzed with water again.

Next I stamped with Bits and Pieces No 26 - Splash with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.  Then using Crealies Stencil No 20 (circles) I added more Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and white Acrylic paint.

The Flower Die Set of 3 No 17 and Uno Flower No 17 were die cut on white cardstock.  I blended Blueprint Distress Ink on the ends and molded with a stylus and mat on the back.  I also rounded the petals on the stylus.   I added parts of Duo Die No 20 and Decorette No 11 - interlocking circles.

I also made a little tag from the left over background.

And here is a close up of the flowers.

I used the following products:

Happy Weekend everyone, I hope you are doing well.   Time is flying, it's March already and Spring is around the corner.

The background of this card is a Gelli plate print that was hanging out in my stash along with paper flowers using dies by Heartfelt Creations.

Sizzix (Tim Holtz design) Die:  Written Love 660218

Joy Crafts:  Vintage Flourishes (leaves)

Background was created using a Gelli plate along with tools, bubble wrap and my own hand carved flower stamp
