Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend.
I have a design to show today featuring Chocolate Baroque's beautiful Spring Bird -Crocus set.
The background is Distress Inks, including the new Cracked Pistachio launched in January.
I stamped the Daffodil edge from Springtime Edges at the top and bottom and coloured a little along with the main bird image with Prisma pencils. The flowers are by Heartfelt Creations - Vintage Floret. I coloured them by blending Distress inks.
Thanks for your visit and have a great day!

Japanese Anemone with Sparkle
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.
I have a design to show using Designs by Ryn's new Japanese Anemone stencil. The detail on her stencils is gorgeous.
The background is Turquoise Dylusions, purple Brushos crystal ink and a little Peacock Distress Paint. I stamped Leafy Branch around the parameter. I blended Distress Inks over the stencil and then over top spread Viva Crystal Gel. When dry I added a little more colour with a metallic rub and then outlined the flower and highlighted the leaves with a white Gellyroll pen.
The photo really doesn't do this design justice, but I can't get one that I'm satisfied with.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,

Selini with Japanese Anemone
Happy Spring !
I have a design today using one of Designs by Ryn's Moths - Selini and and her new stencil - Japanese Anemone. Her moths are gorgeous and now available on a unmounted sheet called Moon Wings and are offered at an excellent price.
Here is a close up:

The background was a lot of fun to create. I started with Distress Paints spritzed with water and then let it run. I blended Distress Ink over top with the Japanese Anemone stencil. Next I used white acrylic paint over a Memory Box stencil and stamped rings with the paint and a little bottle lid. I stamped the little dots using a stamp from Magenta but it could easily be done with a marker tip. Really the stamp is more useful if I wanted to emboss the dots. I stamped one of the little water droplets from the Textures sheet. I stamped Selini on a separate sheet, painted with Inktense pencils and acrylic paints. I covered the entire design with gloss gel and highlighted on the wings with stickles.

Spring Blue Bird
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. This is my second post today as I have another design to show featuring Chocolate Baroque's new Spring Bird -Tulip set.
The background is Dylusions inks with a little Brushos sprinkled over top and then spritzed with water. I stamped in the background with the little decorative stamp at the top and tulips (hard to see) on the bottom half which created some depth. I coloured the sweet bird image with pencils which I love to use for small detailed images. I added a little glitter to the flower centres.

Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #9
Hello everyone I hope you are doing well this week.
I have a design today for Chocolate Baroque's Colour Challenge #9. The colours this month are gorgeous.
I used one of CB's new cling single stamp - Lady in a Hat and a sentiment from the Amazing Birthday clear set.
The background is Dylusions Inks (Midnight and Teal) which I love stamped with a flower from the Sunny Sunflower set. I coloured the lady with Inktense pencils, cut her out and attached.
And below is the beautiful colour inspiration:
We would love it if you could join us, please visit Chocolate Baroque's Challenge Blog for all the information.
At the suggestion of one of my kind followers, I will join in at the Inkspirational Challenge #78 - as the theme is "She Art or Image of a Woman". (Thanks Greta :))

Lovely Crocus
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.
I have a design today featuring a crocus from Chocolate Baroque's new Spring Bird- Crocus set. The three new Spring Bird DL sets are gorgeous with lots of little stamps that can be used for background and main images.
The background behind the crocus was created with Distress Stain sprays (I think, it was hanging around in my stash) and the larger background was created with Distress Inks, water and an acrylic block. I stamped with a fragment from the Texture Fragments set. I coloured the crocus with Prisma pencils.

Tropical Design with Ryn's new Stamps
Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well. We are happy as it's been above freezing with the sun shining all week. The snow is melting.... yay!
Designs by Ryn has just announced a gorgeous new stamp set - Hibiscus and also three new fabulous stencils which you can see here.
I just had a quick play to create this tropical design below:
I didn't actually mat this up yet as I was rushing to get a post published today.
The background is turquoise Dylusions spray ink along with yellow and purple Brusho crystal powders (sprayed with water and I let it run). I used one of Ryn's new stencils - Gingko with acrylic paint over the background which turned out a bit too dark. I also stamped with one of the smaller flowers from the set over the background.
The Hibiscus flower and leaves were embossed with silver, coloured with Tom Bow markers and cut out to attach.
Below is the complete unmounted rubber set. Ryn will be selling them mounted as well, she is in the process of scroll sawing.
What's really cool is that she designed a Hibiscus stencil to match the above set which will be great fun to use them together.
That's all for the moment, thanks for stopping by,
Shirleyx

Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge 8 Free Download
Hello everyone,
I have a design today using the gorgeous (and free) download available from Chocolate Baroque's Challenge Blog. I also used the beautiful set launched last month, Sketchy Doodle Landscape.
This was an easy card to create, it was relaxing to cut out the flowers and leaves. I printed two pages of the free download that is available here. I stamped the flowers and leaves onto one sheet, cut out and attached to the second sheet cut for the background. I highlighted the flowers with a white gelly roll pen and added pearls to the centres. 'With love' is from Macintosh Sentiments.
I was honored to have one of my card designs published in the April 2015 Issue of Craftstamper magazine! Whew hew! (page 78 if you have a copy and want to take a peek as I cannot show it on my blog yet :))
Thanks for your visit and a have a great day,

A Taste of Spring in Pink and Orange
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.
I have a few designs to show today featuring new gorgeous Spring Birds with Tulip, Daffodil and Crocus stamps from Chocolate Baroque. The pretty images are just we need to cheer us up as we are getting tired of snow and extreme cold temperatures. At least now that March is here we can expect a little milder weather but it's going to take a while for Spring to arrive.
The background above was created with Ripe Persimmon and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks using an acrylic block spritzed with water, heat drying and then picking up the drops left on the block.
I stamped the decorative design, bird and flowers from Spring Bird - Daffodil and the foliage from Spring Foliage sets. 'Best Wishes' is from the Spring Bird - Tulip set. I enjoyed colouring these images with my Prisma Pencils.
And below are four ATC's that I created using stamps from Spring Birds with Tulip, Daffodil and Crocus sets. I'll use them as gift tags, but they are cut in the ATC size.
The backgrounds above were created with orange and pink Dylusions spray inks. I added white Acylic paint using Memory Box stencil. The images were again coloured using my Prisma Pencils.
I have one more design to show today which was very quick to create.
I painted the tulip stamp from Spring Bird - Tulip with Tom Bow water colour markers and then stamped onto water colour paper. Using a water barrel brush I blended the paint. I added a little green Brushos crystals with water to the bottom to create grass.
Thanks for your visit and have a great day,

Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #8
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.
I have a card to show today designed for Chocolate Baroque's Colour Challenge No 8. I really like this month's vibrant colours. I used stamps from the Indian Textiles set for this design.
The background was created with orange, yellow and lemon Brushos sprayed with gold Glimmermist. I stamped the background images with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.
I coloured the main flower image with Prisma Pencils. I also used a stencil with writing with purple 3D stamp paint in the background.
For a detailed Step by Step description of how I created this card please visit Chocolate Baroque's Colour Challenge Blog.
Below is the colour inspiration photo:
