Flower Power

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I have a couple of designs to show today using the fabulous Sketchy Doodle Landscape set by Chocolate Baroque.

The background was created with Dylusions and Brusho inks.  I over stamped with fragments from Abstract Fragments.and Harlequin Fragments.   I also added circles with white Acrylic paint and a small empty bottle.

The flowers were stamped with archival ink, sprayed with Fuchsia Dylusions ink, highlighted with a white Prisma pencil, carefully cut out and attached to the background.   The die cuts are Crealie CL CS 02.

The card below was very quick to make:

The background was stenciled (TCW Echoes) and the main image was coloured with Prisma pencils.  Best Wishes is from Mackintosh Sentiments.

Summer Fairy

Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well.    It's been busy here and I haven't been able to visit blogs as much as I normally do, so sorry!

It's also been extremely cold here with lots of snow, I'm dreaming of warmer temperatures.   My design today combines stamps from Chocolate Baroque and Design by Ryn and makes me think of Summer.

The background was created with the new Cracked Pistachio along with Evergreen Bough and Mustard Seed Distress Inks using an acrylic block and water. I stamped Patio Stone over the background with all three Distress Inks. I stamped with Spiral Branch set (highlighted with a Gellyroll pen) and the fairy onto the background with Cobalt Archival ink.

The butterflies from Summer Fairy were stamped on separate card stock, coloured with Inktense pencils, cut out and attached.

I bleached the fairy's wings and when dry coloured with Inktense pencils.  I also used stickles on the butterfly bodies and the fairy wings.

Design by Ryn stamps:  Patio Stone, Spiral Branch Set
Chocolate Baroque stamps:  June Fairy, July Fairy

Vibrant Doodle Landscape

Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well.  It's been extremely cold here, minus 40 with the wind-chill.. ugh.

I have another vibrant design to show today using Chocolate Baroque's fabulous Sketchy Doodle Landscape set.  I love this doodle image and it is available as a Cling Single as well.

The background is once again Dylusions inks (many colours).   I stamped one of the fragments from Harlequin Fragments it picks up one of the doodle designs in the landscape.   Did I say I love this landscape yet?   I really like doodle and tangle designs so this is 'right up my alley'.

I used Tom Bow markers to colour the scene with lot of water to create the 'clouds'.   I added liquid pearls to the flower centres.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day :)

Nouveau Golden Wedding Anniversary

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.     I've been busy with family visiting, lots of fun :)

I have a card to show today that was quick to create.    I wanted a simple elegant design for a couple that were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary recently.

The background is paper that's been hanging out in my stash for many years.   It has metallic dots that you can see where the light catches in the photo.   The love birds from Chocolate Baroque's Nouveau Lovebirds set were embossed with gold to which I added a little colour with Tombow markers.   I used gold letter stickers to add the words.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,

Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #7 Free Download

Hello everyone,

I have a design today using the free download available at Chocolate Baroque's Colour Challenge blog.

This month's free digital paper is a rustic wood grain design that is great for masculine designs.  The card below was very quick to create.

The background is the free download that can be found here.  We would love it if you could join us in the current challenge.  You could win a gift card to shop at Chocolate Baroque !

I stamped a peacock from Peacock Parade with stamp glue and rubbed Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes - Egyptian Gold over the image.  It's extremely difficult to take a photo with all the glimmer you'll have to take my word for it, the image is very shimmery!  The flakes picked up the colours in the background.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day,

Vibrant Retro Flower

Hello everyone,  I hope you are enjoying the weekend.

Chocolate Baroque's fabulous new stamp sets for February are Sketchy Doodle Flowers and Sketchy Doodle Landscape.    I've been working with Sketchy Doodle Landscape which has been great fun and seems to beg for vibrant colours.

The background was created with Dylusions Inks along with white Brusho crystal inks.  It's not difficult - I spray Dylusions inks, spritz with water, sprinkle a tiny bit of white Brusho powders and spritz a little with water (if needed) again.   When dry  I over stamped with a fragment from Abstract Fragments.  I embossed the main images from Sketchy Doodle Landscape with black, coloured with Dylusions ink (using a brush and water on a craft mat).    'With Love' is from Mackintosh Sentiments.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day!

Inspired by Miranda

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful crafty week.

I recently purchased stamps from Impression Obsession and Magenta after seeing gorgeous designs here at Miranda's blog - (I couldn't resist, she should get commission on the sale :)).      I already owned some of the stamps but the background stamps are new and I also ordered some cool whimsical flowers from Magenta, I'll play with them soon :)

The background is green and yellow Brushos spritzed with Gold Glimmermist.  I also added some rings with a lid using white acrylic paint.    I painted the flower and leaves with Tom bow markers and highlighted with Gellyroll pens.

The actual flower stamp has a decorative circle around it (see my blog post here) and is meant to be a Poinsettia, but it works fine for non Christmas as well.

Impression Obsession stamps:  Poinsettia Mandala F15008, Damask Floral J2011, Dangle Design J15013, Dangle Border 1 E15020
